Artist's Statement: Welcome...
I never plan my paintings before I begin work; therefore, the results are usually a surprise to me. I work with acrylic paints; oil pastels; wax crayons; watercolours; and what most people term “garbage.” My paintings are not representational of “reality.” Images bubble up from my subconscious: I see them in my dreams and in hypnagognic states. The questions listed under each title on the Art page include the dialogue I have with the painting as I work and when I’m finished. I’m sure you will have a different dialogue – that is OK – viewing art is a subjective experience. Enjoy!
